Privacy Policy
Effective August 2026
White Coat Advocate LLC (“White Coat Advocate,” “we,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to whitecoatadvocate.com. It does not govern information exchanged after you become a client, which is addressed in your engagement agreement.
Information we collect
We collect only what you choose to send us. If you submit the consultation request form, we receive the information you enter:
- Your name
- Your phone number and email address
- Who needs help, and your relationship to that person
- A general description of the current situation, selected from a list
- Any note you write in the optional message field
- Whether you asked to receive follow-up information from us
We also receive whatever your email or phone carrier transmits if you contact the practice directly using the details on our contact page.
Please do not send medical details through this website
The consultation form asks you not to include sensitive medical information, and we mean it. This website is not a patient portal and is not a secure channel for health records. If we begin working together, we will establish a secure method for exchanging medical information. Anything you volunteer through the website form is handled confidentially, but it travels through ordinary web and email infrastructure.
How we use your information
We use what you send us to respond to your inquiry, arrange and prepare for an initial consultation, and determine whether advocacy services are appropriate for your situation. If you checked the optional follow-up box, we may also send you occasional information about the practice. You can ask us to stop at any time.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not use it to build marketing profiles.
Who else may see it
We use ordinary business service providers to operate the practice — for example, a web host, a form or email delivery service, and standard email and calendar software. These providers process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or where disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If we later add website analytics, we will update this policy and identify the service used before turning it on.
How long we keep it
Inquiries that do not become engagements are retained only as long as needed to respond and to keep an ordinary business record, and are then deleted. Records relating to actual client engagements are governed by your engagement agreement and by applicable record-keeping obligations.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — which is precisely why we ask you to keep clinical detail off the website form.
Your choices
- Ask us what information we hold about you, and we will tell you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it.
- Ask us to stop contacting you, and we will stop.
Reach us through the contact page for any of the above. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law.
Children
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through this site. Adults do, of course, contact us about the care of a child; that information is provided by the adult and handled under this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the practice changes. The effective date above will change when we do. Material changes will be noted on this page.
