Virtual Advocacy
A full engagement, delivered remotely.
Virtual advocacy is not a reduced version of this practice. It is how most of the work gets done, including for clients who live fifteen minutes away.
An engagement begins with records. They are requested under your written authorization from each institution involved, including the imaging studies and pathology reports that patient portals routinely leave out. I review them the way a treating physician would and return a written summary: what the record establishes, what it does not, and what appears to be missing.
From there the work is conversation and coordination. Scheduled video sessions to prepare for an upcoming appointment or weigh a treatment decision. Calls to subspecialists and their schedulers. Written appeals when a claim is denied. Follow-up after a visit to translate what was said and decide what happens next. Families spread across time zones can join the same session.
Everything is handled with secure document exchange rather than ordinary email attachments, and nothing is shared with anyone without your direction.
What Virtual Advocacy Includes
The same work, on your schedule.
Medical record review
A physician-level read of the complete file, returned in plain language.
Second-opinion coordination
The right center, the right subspecialist, and the question framed so the answer is worth having.
Video case strategy
Scheduled sessions to prepare for appointments and weigh decisions, with family able to join from anywhere.
Care coordination
Specialists contacted directly, results chased, and the plan held together across institutions.
Insurance and billing
Coverage verification, prior authorizations, denied-claim appeals, and line-by-line bill review.
Between-visit continuity
A physician who already knows the case when the next thing happens, without starting over.
Scope of Practice
White Coat Advocate is not a medical practice and does not replace your treating physicians. We do not diagnose, prescribe, order tests, or provide emergency medical services. We provide physician-led advocacy, education, care coordination, and support so patients and families can better understand and navigate the care they are already receiving.
The Next Step
You do not have to navigate this alone.
The first conversation is complimentary and does not commit you to anything. It simply puts a physician's judgment where it belongs: on your side.
